Violinist Julia Danitz is a graduate of the Juilliard School with a Master’s degree under the tutelage of Masao Kawasaki and Li Lin. Prior to her graduate studies; she completed a Bachelor’s degree at Columbia University, where she was enrolled in the rigorous dual degree Columbia-Juilliard exchange program. She has been a fellow at many prestigious summer music festivals including the Tanglewood Music Center, Spoleto Festival USA, Aspen Music Festival and School, and Bowdoin International Music Festival. She has collaborated with a number of iconic musicians, including most recently Yo-Yo Ma with the Silk Road Ensemble. When not performing, Julia is a devoted teacher, maintaining a full studio of private violin students. Her students have gone on to be accepted to notable pre-college programs such as Juilliard Pre-College and Manhattan School of Music Pre-College, as well as Youth Symphony programs, such as the New Jersey Youth Symphony and New York Youth Symphony.
