Leanne Friedman


Leanne Friedman is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance and a Master’s degree through NYU Steinhardt’s five-year dual degree program. A native to New Jersey, Leanne has performed in venues across the tri-state area including NJPAC, Carnegie Hall, Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center, and the Metropolitan Opera Guild at Lincoln Center, and throughout Europe, most recently at Palffy Palac in Prague. Leanne is the founder and artistic director of Femmelody, an NYC-based chamber music collective of women musicians and social activists programming and performing works by women composers. When she is away from her flute, Leanne enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, teaching mindfulness practices to students, and learning new languages.
