Nate Goldsmith


Nate Goldsmith is a music educator and performer from North Carolina currently living and teaching in New York City. He instructs students representing a wide range of ages and experience levels across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, teaching instrumental technique and songwriting. Nate’s approach to music education is based on valuing and respecting his students’ already-existing appreciation for music, and using that experience as a foundation for further study and growth. He currently teaches cello technique at MS358 in Queens through the Harmony Program, as well as private songwriting and instrumental lessons through Blue Balloon: Songwriting for Small People. Nate is a graduate of the UNC School of the Arts, where he completed his Master’s degree in double bass performance in 2019.
