Master Class with musicians of the New York Philharmonic

On Saturday, January 31st, over 100 Harmony Program students from Harlem, Washington Heights, Brooklyn, and Long Island came together at the United Palace Theater for our annual Master Class with members of the New York Philharmonic.

Our students began the day working in sectionals with their Harmony teachers and musicians from the West Point Band. Later they were joined by members of the New York Philharmonic who spent the afternoon coaching them in small group classes before taking the stage for a side-by-side orchestra rehearsal and final public performance.

The Harmony Program thanks all those who made the day such a success, and we congratulate our participating students, some of whom took their seats in the orchestra for the very first time!
