The Harmony Program held a joyful and musical 2024 gala celebration at the Tribeca Rooftop on Monday, May 6th. Harmony Program Board member and CBS News National Correspondent and Anchor, Adriana Diaz, hosted the event. The evening’s artistic honorees, nine-time Grammy-winning bassist, Christian McBride, and Founder of Jazz House Kids, Melissa Walker, charmed us all with their collaborative performances and Q&A with our young musicians. Our corporate honoree, Cheryl Guerin, Executive Vice President, Global Brand Strategy & Innovation of Mastercard, filled the room with energetic new supporters and shared her personal connections to music. And, our students and alumni, in grades 2-12, took the stage, performing orchestral pieces, a string trio, a jazz number, and even bass solos, side-by-side with Christian.
