| This year the Harmony Program is training 70 teaching artists, providing them with over 40 hours of professional development, led by world-class educators. Our workshops focus on teaching essentials, our Harmony Program curriculum, and timely topics relevant to their classroom effectiveness.
This fall, we have hosted Emily Eagen, a singer/instrumentalist/composer who has been on faculty of the Amherst Early Music Festival since 2005, teaching early repertoire and vocal technique. Through her work at Carnegie Hall, Emily has trained artists around the world in the Lullaby Project curriculum and pedagogies. We also welcomed Richard Mannoia, a clarinetist, educator, and Managing Director of K-12 Programs and Initiatives at the Juilliard School. Richard has trained educators and designed curricula for organizations like Carnegie Hall, The New York Philharmonic, and the New World Symphony.
We look forward to a fruitful year of teaching and learning and will share more details on our professional development opportunities in the months ahead. |
